Korean Beauty Products A Beauty bloggers Heaven

Korean Beauty Products A Beauty bloggers Heaven

The picture above will give you an idea of some of the many products I have tried. This is just a small fraction of them, because I have many more back home. I have used the famous brands such as; proactiv solution(not all it is made out to be),Neutrogena, Clean & Clear, Eucerin, many gel medicated products(for acne), and many from the beauty supply warehouse store in Canada, Ontario. The only thing that did work was the African  black soap (dudu-Osun). This is perfect for people who suffer from acne, blemishes and any form of imperfection on your skin. You will feel so clean, and it does dry out your skin, so make sure to use a great moisturizer after.

MY Skin Struggle

Anyone who knows me, know the struggle I have had with my skin. I have always wanted clear skin, so it led me to try every product you can possibly imagine. I have also visited many dermatologist offices, but nothing seemed to ever work or agree with my skin, so I gave up.

Be comfortable in the skin your in, while working towards a better one. I can honestly say with the combination of my African black soap and my Korean products, my face has done a 360. I even get compliments now about how clear my skin has become, and when I went home for summer vacation it was all people noticed. It has given me way more confidence to be able to not wear a lot of make-up and definitely has given me a confidence boost. They say compliments go a long way and they aint never lied.

Korean Products to the Rescue

For a culture obsessed with physical appearance it is no surprise that Korean beauty products are simply to die for. I became more concerned and obsessed with having great skin. They do say you become a productive of your environment, so it was no surprise that I became more concerned about my appearance since I moved to Korea. With that being said, Korean products are simply the solution for those suffering from troubled skin, like myself. Korean beauty products range from facial masks, whitening products(of course), toners, serums, face cream, and many more. Walking into any Korean beauty product store is like walking into a chocolate factory.

I also started to drink more water and since moving to Korea I have included more fruits and vegetables in my daily diet. Korean love their veggies, so I quickly picked up on the habit. I never really understood what people meant theyd say, "you are what you eat", until now.

Daily Skin Ritual

I use the following skin products everyday, because they not only make me feel better, but my skin just feels SO CLEAN. I mean so fresh and so clean.

1. I apply the Dudu-Osun to my face and leave it for 5 minutes. I do this twice a day.
2. I then apply my Jeju sparkling mud foam cleanser
3. I then use the Innisfree spin brush all over my face to remove the cleanser

-The spin brush was 38,000 or 40,000 Korean won (43-46 dollars Canadian). I know some Instagram ads have it going for 100 dollars or more, and let me tell you it is a rip off. This works just as great, if not better.

4. I then apply a watery moisturizer from Nature Republic
-This moisturizer smells AMAZING
-It dries up quickly and leaves your skin feeling so smooth and soft.
-I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU GIVE THIS MOISTURIZER A TRY.
5. I use the bamboo charcoal mud mask before bed and apply my moisturizer right after

I stopped using a toner and serum, because my face felt too heavy after, so I simply just stick to this moisturizer.

Free Samples For All

One of the main reasons I love living here is the perks of getting free samples after purchasing a product or many products. Korean beauty shops LOVE to give out samples. I had so many samples that I sent a box home to my little sister, which mostly included face masks. This is also one of the things I will miss the most, because back home they definitely arent as sample giving friendly as Korean shops are.

My Favourite Korean Beauty Shops

This is in no particular order. I would recommend taking a Saturday and going to any major cities in Korea to visit these stores. I can assure you that you will not be disappointed. I usually go to Jeonju, Itaewon, Myeong-dong and Hongdae(University area) to visit the beauty stores below. I live in a small town and we have a Face Shop, so you should have no problem spotting these in the major cities around Korea.

1. Innis Free

2. Etude House

3. The Face Shop

4. Nature Republic
