Romanization of Korean Road Guide Signs in Daegu Corrected
To truly accommodate 1 million foreign tourists coming to Daegu each year, Daegu has corrected all road guide sings in each district. Totally 1,056 signs were revised to follow national Romanization guidelines so that the same nouns are spelled the same anywhere on the sign. The following are a few useful rules in the guideline.
1. Nature
mountain, river, lake, hill
HOWRomanization of the entire term + meaning indicator

Ex)

*The meaning indicator can be omitted or abbreviated when written on a narrow space like map. ex) ?? Shincheon / Shincheon Riv, ??? Palgongsan / Palgongsan Mtn.
2. Artificial Structures
