L1G20 V-(?)?? grammar = while/during�~actions occurs simultaneously
Usage:
  • Indicates that two actions occur simultaneously = �while/during� in English
  • The subjects of both clauses must be the same.
  • If the subjects of two verbs are different, V-? ?? grammar is used. (see e.g. #6)
  • Verb preceding -(?)?? is always in present tense. Past and future tense are not allowed.
  • V-(?)?? is different from V-(?)? ?? grammar which indicates an action occurring while maintaining the state of a situation.
Verbs ending in vowel or ? + ??:
?? -- ??? (to go)  ;  ?? -- ???   (to see)
??? -- ???? (to call) ; ???? -- ????? (to wait)
???? -- ????? (to study) ; ???? -- ????? (to travel)
?? -- ??? (to cry) ;  ??? -- ???? (to make)

Verbs ending in consonant + ???:
??  -- ???? (to receive)  ;  ?? -- ???? (to eat)
*?? -- ????  (to listen)   ;  *?? -- ???? (to walk)
*?? -- ????  (to build)   ;  *?? -- ????  (to help)
